Beginning with the 25th of June, the Radisson Lazurnaya offers a new service, Sibirskaya Zdravnitsa, a steam bath in a cedar barrel.
A steam bath in a cedar barrel is your chance to experience and appreciate all the curative strengths of Siberian cedars, which have been considered ‘forest physicians’ from the earliest times.
The cedar resin is called ‘zhivitsa’ (granting life force) in Russian, as the infusion of cedar branches treats colds, pneumonia and bronchial asthma.
The cedar wood is satiated with extracts from oil and volatile substances, which destroy pathogenic microbes.
The combination of steam bath, satiated with medicinal herbs and balsams, which are chosen and prepared for the sauna from a selection of Siberian cedar, provides a unique medicinal procedure much more effective then pills or pricks.
The cedar barrel, recommended by the Russian Scientific Center of Reconstructive Medicine, has been awarded many prestigious prizes at Russian and international exhibitions.
